5th Anniversary 7/15/06

5 wonderful years, getting better and better as we go along. When we got married Sarah gave us a cedar tree in a wooden planter. It sat on the deck for a year or more, didn't grow much, and from time to time we worried about whether it would take off, be healthy and grow stronger. Then we committed to putting it into the ground, anchored it to watch over our yard from the mound, began caring for it in a steady, permanent way. Look what has happened:

So here we are kissing in front of our anniversary tree. We're going to do this every year for the next hundred years!

To celebrate we went to the nursery and brought home a beautiful Pomegranate tree (after all, the 5th anniversary is "wood").

Frank sent us some beautiful flowers.

We are so grateful for a life filled with love. What could be a better use of a blog than to share our happiness? So, yes, we had a very happy anniversary on July 15th, and I'd say we're having a happy everyversary too. -L&F

A Random Saturday In March

This is a Saturday at home alone - Francine is in LA shopping for wedding dresses with Sarah. I've got a big pot of New Mexico red bubbling on the stove, and a great college basketball game about to begin on TV. So many good images to post - here is one of the cutest little guys in the world

The New Truck!!

The old Acura needs to be re-registered, and is too far gone to pass smog again. It really is falling apart. So I found this 1997 Nissan truck on Craig's List, and to everyone's surprise, including me, just went out and bought it.
Just brought it home, and here are some views.

Frank's 83rd Birthday Gathering

We went to LA for Frank's 83rd birthday It was great to see everyone again. We started off at Sarah and Gary's new place in West Hollywood, and then went to Torrance where we played Mexican Train Dominoes, ate and drank as much as we could, had birthday cake with Grampy, and had a great time visiting with everyone. Stay tuned for the video of Bill taking off on his motorcycle...

New Years Family Get Together

We came together in Santa Cruz for New Years - 4 generations of us, our far flung extended clan. Bunny and Rod got to meet Ethan, the newest member, and there were so many wonderful moments recorded on our digital media that the DVD will be months in production. Here are a few images....

Giving Thanks 11/24/2005

Here in L.A. giving thanks for the love and relationship that is the real energy cooking our turkey. It is browning and turning gold before our eyes. How can we not be grateful?
